A Note From Sean...

Okay, I was asked to write a little something to fill you in about me. Well from the "horse's mouth" what should I say. I've seen my music talked about from being considered "dangerously balanced" between what's thought of as "Contemporary Country" to "Cosmic Cowboy Rustic Rock". My voice has been lauded as being honest, passionate and gritty. I appreciate the accolades, but I do try to take it all in stride; I'm excited to be at a point where my music is being heard for the first time, all over again and enjoyed it would seem just as much.

They say I'm singer/songwriter who's time has come,...well maybe, or at least as much as I've come into my time. I think, "you gotta go get it". whatever it is, like that line in that old song "it's your thing, do what you gotta do". I like the one quote I heard said by the legendary Harlan Howard about going to Nashville. "Nobody sent for ya kid". Well here's one from me, "sometimes you have to be patient; sometimes you have to hustle,... life to me is all about that kind of balance".

I get most excited with this chosen vocation by what motivates me "I'm motivated by the satisfaction of tapping into a song idea, finding its true spirit, carving out its continuity, and creating a song that reaches people with its story as well as its sheer emotion.” I believe I've tapped into that vein more than once with songs like Catalina Sunrise, Vulnerable, Centered, A Cowboy’s Heart, Tired of Leavin’, I’d Rather Have You, Silver Lining Girl, Angeline, What Would You Have Me Believe, Suck It Up and Don't Sweat The Small Stuff to name just a few.

Please listen and hear for yourself the songs on this new album "The Southern Sessions" in May 2009. I'd love it if you would voice your support. Click and send me or one of my label reps a message. If you're a radio station/ industry person and would like to link your station to my site, do let us know. I'm now looking to see where promotional touring might take place first , to get out and support this new album.

Cheers, from me and my crew at Lakeland Heart Records.

Sincerely,
Sean Hogan
